Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the most common questions we get asked.  If you require further assistance then please speak to our Sales Team

How long does my building take to come? Typically 2 - 3 weeks from the manufacturer, however we do hold some buildings in stock and delivery can be arranged sooner. During peak season delivery times can extend out to 4 to 5 weeks. Please contact the sales office for an indication.

What maintenance is required for my building? The buildings are treated either in a water based preservative or spirit based dependent on the manufacturer. It is recommended a further coat be applied soon after delivery. Densheds Ltd offer an additional service to apply further spirit based preservative or painted colour range. Please enquire at the sales office for further details.

What base do I need? All buildings require a firm and level area for us to assemble your building. Densheds offer a base laying service, options ranging from tanalised timber bearers, timber frame, paving slabs to concrete. Please contact the sales office for further information.

Do you remove old sheds? Yes, we do offer a service to remove and dispose of your building. If your building does include asbestos we can arrange for this to be removed by a licensed contractor. We can arrange for an electrician to remove/reconnect and power supply. Prices are available on request.

Do I require planning permission? Most garden buildings do not require permission, however depending on the size and proposed use & position of the building planning permission maybe required. The Government Planning Portal contains further information at the following web address www.planningportal.gov.uk/permission/commonprojects/outbuildings
